Slavery was already widely considered evil by the time the Civil War came around.
Almost no other slave society in history BRED slaves for the express purpose of selling off the children.
Ad white people mostly just outlawed slavery in mostly white countries. Asians did it in Asia, etc. White people do not have a monopoly on morality or evil.

I’m sorry if I sound too parochial here. But I’m assuming most on this board are Americans, operating within an American political context. I’m totally in favor of a more integrated, cosmopolitan world and the eventual erosion of national boundaries (as a long term goal), but we don’t live in that world right now or in the forseeable future. That’s a very worthy topic of discussion, but it would derail this thread too much to go into that.
My hope is that instilling a sense of benign patriotism will generate a sense of all Americans (regardless of race) being part of the same tribe. I think this is a more effective method of achieving the goals of the Left. Solidarity is a better foundation to lay a free, equal and prosperous society than racial resentment.
Benign patriotism is not white supremacy, in fact it’s just the opposite as I explained above.
Even though Trump is a despicable human being, I’m going to dispute your claim that he is running a white supremacist regime. The traditional definition of that term is a system where whites dominate and control non-whites, like slavery and Jim Crow. Trump isn’t doing that.

Critical race theory has been around for more than 25 years but it made the leap from legal theory to social theory about 25 years ago. Just a guesstimate.

The dumb liberals on this board generally rely on the tacit approval (or at least non-disapproval) of the largely far left population of this board.
This happened about 10 years ago AFAICT. The conservatives on this board were already losing the fight because they were wed to Bush and his war in Iraq. They had to take all sorts of ridiculous positions to justify their support. They were eventually driven from the board. Simply put the facts had a liberal bias at the time.
The facts may still have a liberal bias but without a critical mass of conservatives, the weak minded liberals could flourish here and pretend they were as smart as the other liberals.
The few remaining conservatives were either much more open minded and tolerant or they were made of shoe leather and granite.
Most of us moderates have either just left the board or been grouped together with the conservatives because we don’t follow far left liberal orthodoxy
