When is someone not considered a newbie? 100 posts? 200? When they get welcomed by a moderator? I’m just kinda curious that’s all. (being welcomed by a moderator sounds cool, but I don’t want to be a putz or suck up or anything).
You can suck up to me and I’ll be happy to welcome you, Monster! 
I’m not a moderator, though, does that matter?
As I’ve said before, I never purposefully look at people’s post counts. So long as you aren’t a putz, what you have to contribute is as welcome as any 3000 post Doper.

Danged if I know when “non-newbieness” is conferred. In other words, don’t look for a sign or affirmation. I’ve been hangin’ around here for a while and gassing away at will and still consider myself a newbie. It still disconcerts me when someone recognizes me.
Grab your barf bag; it’s sorta like the Burt Reynolds quote about “you aren’t a man until your Daddys says you’re a man–and mine never said it.”
Just keep muddling along, mind your manners, only cuss for cause and do it well and it’ll all work out.

I think this was my 2nd post, I guess I would/am still considered a newbie. Oh it seems like it’s been so long since I was one. I said something about that on another newbie thread. There sure is alot of talk of newbies around here.
