yes, but as Texas, Alabamania and South Carolina attest, when stupid reaches uncritical mass it can detonate, causing chain reactions of dumbth that can devastate whole countries!
This is the future. It’s amazing how much influence the wacko arm of the medical community has. In Portland every other person you meet has allergies to gluten/wheat/dairy. There are gluten-free bakeries on every other corner. EMF “pollution” from Wi-Fi, electrical transmission, and cell phone towers is a big issue. Look at all the anti-vax people.
It’s left-wing creationism and it’s driving me nuts.
And what about all the wireless devices that are in every house in every neighborhood? I can see about 20 devices when I do a network search on my laptop at home. Idiots.
Let’s see
Summer vacation kids stay healthy
School starts and kids get sick especially on mornings when a test is scheduled
Come on it’s obvious it is the school making them sick
(cause I know I got sicker during school than summer vacation and they did not have wifi when I was a young or computers for that matter)
If they’re happy and being left alone, maybe. Sometimes. But no one throws a fit like an autistic kid whose sock is an eensy bit too scratchy, or who would prefer slightly whiter mashed potatoes, or whatever.
Not to mention that children are disease carriers, and putting them all together every day is making sure they all catch everything that every one of them has.
I was just reading a full page paid ad in a local weekly rag about this issue…According to it, France has banned/is going to ban Wifi in its libraries and (possibly, can’t recall, I just scanned it) schools.
For all I know, there COULD be health effects from exposure to wi-fi (hell, we used to x-ray fetuses…it IS possible for there to be unknown harm from something everyone asumes is safe ) but I recently got it in my home and LOVE IT!
If it gives me or my kids skin rashes or dizzyness or whatever, I can deal with it, just to be able to use my laptop and have my Netflix on the tv…I mean, ya gotta have your priorities, right?
I don’t think it has anything to do with “left wing”, more like “wing nut”.
I can’t find it now, but a couple of months ago I read this article about one of the major carriers putting up a cell tower in a neighborhood and immediately being carpet bombed with mass hysteria levels of claims by people in the neighborhood to all manner of illnesses and horrible consequences of the cell tower. So, the company attended a meeting about it and offered a test. They would shut it down for 30 or 60 days, then come back to another meeting for a report. When they came back, it was like Jesus had walked through the neighborhood and healed the sick. Everything was sunshine and daisy farts, all their illnesses had disappeared, what was PROOF POSITIVE that it was all caused by the cell tower.
Then the company revealed the truth. That particular tower had NEVER been operational. Everything was in their heads, which was proven by the fact that when they BELIEVED that it had been shut off, their symptoms disappeared.
A co-worker had much the same argument about signals with his mother. She was claiming all manner of illnesses from a new cell tower. He told her to turn over the cordless phone she’d been using for 10 years and read off the signal frequency on the back. Then he tells her this is the same range used by cellphones, so is she’s so sick from “the tower”, why wasn’t she ever sick from the damn cordless phone being held right next to her head?
Edit: Ah, here we go, a mention of it in this article, details slight different than I recall;
“The power of suggestion may lead to real illness, though. Residents of Craigavon, South Africa claimed that a new cell phone tower was causing a slew of health problems. After months of complaints of ongoing severe symptoms, the company that owned the tower made an amusing revelation – they had turned off the tower months ago. Embarrassed the residents vowed to keep fighting the good fight.”
Wireless devices? How about the fucking RADIO STATIONS? Every city the size of Barrie’s got to have what, half a dozen AM and FM stations blasting signal at 50,000 watts, right? Surely those signals are vastly more powerful than a Wi-Fi network? And they’ve been going for decades.
Not far from Barrie is CFB Borden, an Army base bristling with HF and VHF radios. What about those?
Natural selection used those decades to kill off the people sensitive to AM and FM radio. Now, these little buggers today get to see the red claw of nature, in the form of WiFi signals congealing and pasteurizing their bodily fluids.
