I was walking home from the health club and all over I see signs, on mailboxes, on telephone poles on newspaper boxes…
It reads:
Lost: Family Dog - Harvey
Then it gives a xerox of Harvey and a physical description (he’s a greyhound)
At the end of the lost note it says (in HUGE LETTERS yet):
WARNING:
If you see Harvey, please call us immediately on your cell phone. Do not attempt to chase Harvey, he runs faster than you.
Now I get this picture of all these people chasing this poor dog all over the place. Harvey probably thinks it’s a game.
But I wonder how many calls these people got where people have said “I saw your dog and tried to catch him but he got away,” for them to put that disclaimer on their lost notice.
