In reading this amazingly presumptuous Newsweek article it would seem the European states are failing their female citizens by having (I kid you not) “overly generous” child welfare policies that encourage women to stay and home and… ummm… “be mothers”, and how terrible it is that there is “stigma” attached to having your kids in daycare for more than 6 hours a day.
The overwhelming “good” it seems here is to allow maximal warehousing of children as soon as possible to get moms back on the business fast track as quickly as possible.
