Dang, my education classes must be getting to me. When I saw the cat gnawing on the steel frame, my first thought was “Sensorymotor stage of development”.
At the end, when the kitten slides itself into the supporting frame, I imagined it saying to the others, “Lookit me, lookit me! I’m the Big Bang!”
They have to learn the basics of the laws of physics before they can learn to violate them. This is just the first lesson before the humans strap the buttered toast onto their backs!
