What a dismal, dismal performance by the NY Giants last night. Worst game I’ve ever seen them play.
The worst part of it is that now the Cowpokes fans gloat and talk trash like they just won the Super Bowl. Bite me; you’ve won one big game in years. We’re still 4-for-5 at Cowboys Stadium. Statistically, Eli still outplayed Romo by a pretty huge gap:
Eli: 27/42, 450 yds, 4 TD, 3 INT
Romo: 36/49, 263 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT
Yes, yes, I know. We had 6, SIX turnovers, with Eli throwing 3 picks. But keep in mind that interceptions that are the receiver’s fault are still credited to the QB. Most of those balls were tipped. A tipped ball destroyed our last-minute shot at victory. Not Eli’s fault.
Our D didn’t show up, plain and simple. This is not going to be a fun week for the Giants.
The GIANTS looked horrible. There are a couple of free agent RBs available, but they don’t have much cap maneuver space. Eli looked like he spent too much time filming commercials and not enough time practicing, and he was still one of the better players on the field. GIANTS didn’t deserve to be that close at the end of the game, but it was still appropriate that a turnover killed their last gasp.
Not sure you got that right. On 6 turnovers, 2 went for pick 6s. Meaning Dallas only score 23 pts on offense. And 3 pts came from a short field (Cowboys starting on NYG 15yd line)
So with 37 min of possession, the cowboys really only got 20 pts. Not bad for your D that ‘didn’t show up’
I’d say it’s the Cowboys who didn’t show up. They need to take advantage of mistakes a LOT better.
Yeah, by all that is right and Holy, that game should have been a Cowboys blowout. 6 turnovers, and they were still in danger of losing the game in the final 2:00? I’d be worried.
I don’t see how any Dallas fans could be gloating, that game looked like a couple of (mediocre) high school teams. Dallas will limp into another .500- ish season, miss the playoffs, same old same old.
That was a pretty miserable game to watch for me last night. I was pleasantly surprised at how civil the Dallas fans were to me but I a lot of them are definitely concerned about the fact that they only won by 5 points. Seeing Wilson struggle with fumble issues made it feel like last years Giants-Dallas season opener all over again. Hopefully this RB situation gets worked out soon. So far it looks like the Giants are in for a long season.
Wow that was brutal. I’m trying to take heart in the fact that the Redskins offense was coming alive in the second half, but their defense is going to get eaten alive in Lambeau next week.
The clerk at the doughnut shop where I stopped this morning looks exactly like Robert Griffin; it was triggering for me.
No kidding, where exactly are fans talking SB level trash? Philly looks a little better than expected, that is until Vick’s injuries start to accrue. Washington looks a little worse, that is until RG III shakes some rust off. Giants are playing subpar to their potential and Dallas still has a shit GM and a QB that chokes just often enough to ensconce them in mediocrity. I don’t see a lasting threat coming from anyone in this division.
A few fresh faces on the Dallas o-line this year, so I’m hoping they grow a bit and the offense gets more effective running, keeps Romo’s ribs intact, and minimizes choking opportunities.
