NFL 2021: Week Nine Lives

Tweet from Trevor Noah: “Is Aaron Rodgers trying to prove that COVID is fake or that CTE is real?”

I’m glad OBJ is gone. The Browns offense is just flat out better without him. My guess is that he requires a lot of diva management and Mayfield forces the ball to him, or has a nagging reminder in the back of his head that OBJ will bitch him out if he doesn’t get the ball and that negatively impacts his decision making.

I’m surprised the line on the Browns/Cinci game is only -2.5, Cinci has been hot, the Browns have not, should be more like -5.5. I haven’t done any sports betting this year but I’m considering taking the over on that game, Browns/Bengals games tend to get nutty.

The Packers organization should be punished on top of Rodgers being punished. They knew he wasn’t vaccinated but didn’t follow protocols for unvaccinated players, that makes them guilty too. Hammer that shit.

Except for losing to the hapless Jets five days ago.

That was Mike White and you know it.

He so threatened parity in the league that the NFL took him out in the 1st quarter of last night’s game.

That Jets dynasty got nipped right in the bud.

Yeah, and the Ravens needed an historic NFL record kick to beat the winless Lions. Later, the Bengals kicked the shit out of the Lions and the Ravens, then got beaten by the Jets, ergo, the Jets are going to the Superbowl!

Well that’s just going to piss them off and play harder.

OBJ is saying that there will be “problems” if a non-contending team claims him off waivers. That feels like a punishable circumvention of NFL waiver rules to me. It looks like further evidence that OBJ is a diva that creates his own problems, but he doesn’t have nearly the clout that he did years ago.

But even team success probably isn’t enough to make him happy - I can see him being upset being traded to a bad Browns team. But they won a playoff game last year, and I thought that would convince him to stow the attitude and buy in, and it did not.

No exaggeration, the Browns offense is just flat out better without OBJ. This has been true every time he’s been out for any reason, the whole offense gets like 30% better.

OBJ doesn’t realize he’s not very good.

Vikings - Ravens game is turning out to be pretty good!! Tied at 24 in the fourth quarter.

Jags beat the Bills.

I’m speechless.

What the fuck NFL is this?
:grinning:

It’s only one half, but Jordan Love looks alot like what I expected when the Packers drafted him. Inaccurate. Confused. Nervous in the pocket. Taking stupid risks. I was kinda hoping the year of watching Rodgers would help his football IQ and give him some knowledge base of the offense, but it’s not looking that way so far.

Here’s hoping for a better second half, even if it means simplifying the offense and giving Live one-year throws.

First time this season the Browns secondary wasn’t severely injured and it showed - they did a really great job of bottling up all of Cinci’s receivers. Like a night and day difference compared to most games.

OBJ being gone definitely improved the Browns offense as it has pretty much every time in the past.

GB is completely dependent on Aaron Rodgers.

Chiefs were damn lucky to win that game. Again.

They’ll probably hire on Joe Rogan to the medical staff after this.

History was made in that game. The first time in NFL history that a defender intercepted a QB with the same name.

Not only did the Jaguars’ Allen sack Allen, he also intercepted Allen in the second half of that game! That’s the first time in NFL history that a player intercepted a quarterback with the the same name. Allen also has a fumble recovery on a fumble by – Josh Allen.

They were my 3rd survival strike. I can’t say I’m alone. :flushed:

I still think Urban Meyer heads back to college after this season but I think he’s saved his job for this season
