From the best I can tell, they got somewhat complacent, lost 3 in a row, then went into a bye week where they took the time to get themselves “right” and turned things around.
What? I must not be understanding what you’re saying. The Magic Man was fun to watch him play, and then following him there was Favre and Rodgers with Conference Championships and Super Bowl titles.
Most organizations don’t have three decades of their QB situation solved. What’s the second longest streak, the 49ers going from Montana to Young? That was like 15 years. The Packers have double that.
And it’s starting to look like the Packers could extend that to 40+ years of a solved QB situation if Love does indeed turn out to be a decade+ franchise QB.
Trent Williams went down in the Cleveland game and was out for the two losses against Minnesota and Cincinnati. He’s fully healthy now.
Deebo Samuel went down in the Cleveland game and was out for the two losses against Minnesota and Cincinnati. He’s fully healthy now.
Christian McCaffrey could not finish the Cleveland game with an oblique injury. After sitting out week 18 and the first round bye with a quad strain, he’s fully healthy now.
Dre Greenlaw missed the Cleveland game, too. He’s currently listed as questionable but should probably play vs Green Bay.
They played during the losing steak, but other important players returning from late season injuries:
Lynchpin DT Arik Armstead after missing five late season games. He’s a major force against the run and provides enormous inside pass rush pressure.
Pro-Bowl special team ace George Odum.
WR3 “3rd and Jauan” Jennings, an absolute monster blocker.
THREE returning defensive backs: S Ji’Ayir Brown, S Tashaun Gipson, and CB Ambry Thomas.
I think will either crush the Packers, or at worst fully cover the -9.5 despite the game looking like a shootout.
Between Montana and Young, they had a string of 18 seasons with one of them starting the majority of the games. The Patriots have 19 years between Brady and Cassel.
Yeah looks like the Ravens just needed the first half to get into the groove. And even then, the Texans offense only managed three points. Once the second half started the Ravens just dominated.
I hate the Ravens for totally irrational reason based on past sins. They took the Browns out of Cleveland for greed and basically turned the Browns that exist now into an expansion team. CRIME! And don’t get me started on Ray Lewis - that egotistical, showboating, criminal - so I had no fun watching the game today and I’m not looking forward to the AFC Championship game now. If my Bills win, yikes, what an uphill climb; if KC wins, ugh, Ravens AND Chiefs? Are you really going to make me root for the NFC in the Superbowl (which I will be anyway, if it’s anybody but the Bills for AFC (go Lions)).
