Yay! Ummm… more letters … Yay!
Yay, Bills beat the evil Chiefs
My guess is it happens tomorrow.
Not surprisingly, the Lions over the Jags (52-6) was a scorigami.
This Bengals/Chargers game is crazy.
Bengals down 27-6 at one point but scored 3 unanswered TDs to tie it.
But the Bengals have missed 2 FGs since then and it’s still tied, one minute to go in regulation.
Looks like the Chargers are going to win with a TD with 18 seconds left.
But it probably shouldn’t be this close; for some reason in the drive that led to the Bengals’ last FG miss, the officials didn’t throw a flag when Burrow threw the deep ball to a receiver who literally had a guy holding onto his right arm during the pass.
It seemed weird to me that Jameis Winston threw for 395 yards but Cleveland only scored 14 points, so i was thinking that’s got to be some kind of record, but after some googling, today i learned that on November 17, 1986, Joe Montana threw for 441 yards against the Washington Football Team, and yet Washington beat SF 14-6, and the 6 was from 2 field goals. Wild.
Giants benching Daniel Jones, going with DeVito. The Maras are loyal to their coaches to a fault but the team has gotten noticeably worse every season under Daboll, and it’s not all on Jones. But good luck with that!
It’s now the part of the season where I find other things to do instead of watching the Bears. Last week I got a tattoo. Not sure what I’ll do next week.
Have it removed? LOL
Then get a new one on Week 13? Sounds like a plan.
Bears have lost four in a row.
Their remaining schedule is Vikings, Lions, Niners, Vikings, Lions, Seahawks, Packers. Niners and Seahawks are currently 5-5, while the other three teams are well over .500. They could end the season on an 11-game losing streak.
They have had a recent “change your coach like you change your underwear” period where loyalty to the coach gave way to impatience with all the losing.
2016 Ben McAdoo
2018 Pat Shurmur
2020 Joe Judge
2022 Brian Daboll
Hopefully Dayboll gets another couple years. He hasn’t had a quarterback yet.
The Seahawks win over the 49ers was huge for their season.
Cardinals in 1st place at 6-4 with everyone else at 5-5. This could be one of those years where the NFC West tiebreakers go as deep as “If the Vikings beat the Lions by 6 or more points …”
I think a never-ending period of tattoos and removals can be painful.
Maybe just get a tattoo that says: BEARS?
That seems to cover all the bases.
Even the Cowboys stadium is falling apart.
So is the team at this point. They are entertainingly bad. Cowboys fans have left and it has turned into a Houston home game.
Make that six consecutive home games in which the Cowboys have trailed by more than 20 points. They keep making history.
This streak started with the playoff loss last year to the Packers.
On the one hand, anybody who thought Dallas without Dak Prescott would find it easy to score against Houston (and Philadelphia the week before) is smoking the kind of stuff we should all have.
On the other hand, that doesn’t explain the defense giving up 30+ points 4 out of their last 5 games (and 27 in that 5th game), especially at home.
On the gripping hand, thanks to winning over the likes of the Giants and the Browns, they probably won’t have the top (or even top 10 if they manage to win a few more) pick in the draft, not that the front office has covered itself with a lot of glory in roster management and dealing with their free agents.
Don’t forget, they also beat the Steelers, one of Pittsburgh’s two losses. Steelers also lost to the now 5-6 Colts. Both losses were by a field goal.
