NFL Conference Finals: Predictions

Woo! Ravens win!

So who thinks the Super Bowl will be a 9-3 game?

I don’t know about God, but as Drain Bead mentioned, Satan is a Giants fan.

God and Satan rooting for the same team…nah, not believable. Maybe Gawd and Satan.

That was the worst display of football I’ve ever seen (the Vikings) against some of the best (the Giants). Then the Ravens won the turnover battle and beat Oakland in their backyard. (I think Siragusa is a bumble - he actually bounced on Gannon!!)

Superbowl Final Score: 3-2

There … but … the score … Culpepper … it … Moss … but … what … where … field … no! no!

Allow me to offer a 2001-and-on prediction for the Vikings after this shellacking:

Cris Carter retires. The Vikings do not get a new stadium in Minneapolis. Randy Moss tests the free-agent market before resigning with the Vikings, but performs so excoriably off the field that he must be traded. Red McCombs pays his $30M fine and breaks the lease on the Metrodome and moves the team to San Antonio. Then, by default, LNO becomes a fan of the previously-hated Packers.

Go Brett Favre?

I missed the NFC Championship game completely, but having read the score, and a summary, I completely retract my comments from last week about the Giants being a weak team. Amazingly, they are the best team in the NFC.

However, they won’t score 41 points against the Ravens. For all his statistical ineptitude, Dilfer manages to find a way to score a touchdown each week.

And that will be good enough.

10-6 Ravens.

…And Mariano Rivera will get the save.
