NFL fines?

A search only told me who’s been fined recently but not what I am curious about. What do they do with the money players pay in fines? Do they donate it it to Unicef on behalf of the NFL, or something else?

I think The United Way. My man Kyle Turley is going to contribute about 15k this week. That prick Robinson from the Jets was fined $27K for bringing an assault rifle to a game. He should be fined just as much for intentionally twisting Aaron Brooks head untill Turley pulled him off. Watching Turley smash that pricks head into the ground was worth loosing the game over. GO SAINTS!

Thanks, CLedet, I did mean the United Way, not Unicef.[sub]Go Saints[/sub] But, from your post, I gathered you weren’t really sure either. Anyone have a clue as to what the NFL does with the money?

Apparently, the NBA, which collects more in fines than the other three sports combined, doesn’t release the total amount collected or where it goes.

Thanks JeffB. I’m happy that the monies go to good causes, especially since the only thing I could find was this;

But I think that quote was more in reference to a team fine as opposed to a league fine.
