AFC’s only had one championship game go to overtime, in 1986.
NFC championship game’s gone to OT in 1998, 2007, 2009, 2012, and 2014.

I hated the NFL’s current overtime rules before seeing New England go to it’s 40th Super Bowl in the last 8 years.

The more I watch, the more close football games seem like a crapshoot. KC gets a backbreaking interception, but a guy was lined up offside. So many little plays like that, that will mostly be forgotten.
Oh, believe me, we KC fans will not forget that offsides for a long, long time. Just like we won’t forget the phantom roughing the passer. Or that fact that our defense couldn’t stop the Pats in crunch time.
Another Superbowl, man it’s good to be a Pats fan. But it’s pretty easy to understand the haters. Not much we can do about that.
So, the moral for the Chiefs is don’t get down 14 to NE.
Also (and, yes, I’d be bitching if it had run out the clock before they could kick the FG), the Chiefs should have taken one more shot at the end zone at the end of regulation.
Oh sure, it’ll be remembered in KC and by some others too. But in a while it will be otherwise forgotten. It’s like how everyone knows the helmet catch, but lots forget the dropped interception the play before that would’ve just won the game for New England.

QFT. I once saw the cover of a Patriots Super Bowl DVD which proclaimed that “Few gave the Patriots a chance, yet they somehow pulled it off again” - seriously? Stop pretending you’re Leicester City or something.
Except for Spygate, which was pretty stupid and clearly against the rules but offered no advantage I haven’t seen any evidence of Patriots cheating.
As to the rest, who cares? All teams do it to some extent, and the solution to that is to beat them.
Well, I get to be a Rams fan for a night. And I don’t give enough of a shit about this game to even make sure that I’m off Super Bowl Sunday.
Prediction: NE wins, and Brady and Belichek both retire.

Would be befitting for the Rams to beat the Patriots and end Brady’s career since Brady won his first SB 17 years ago by beating none other than the Rams.
As a side note, why won’t the Rams have gold/yellow horns instead of white horns?

I thought that was because the old LA Rams always had white horns on their helmets, and the gold ones were associated with St. Louis. Just an attempt to get (back) into the good graces of local fans.
