NFL Playoffs

Be honest. Is there any game that’s ever been played, in the entire history of the NFL, that you will admit was NOT decided by help from the refs?

Yeah. You called dibs on that.

With that last post? No. With that post, I was telling your that I think your opinion about anything related to NFL football can be easily disregarded as silly ramblings. Especially when you posit that the refs, who called 5 penalties for a whopping 38 yards against the Steelers, were not just responsible for the loss, but also that it was a conspiracy to get a Manning Brady rematch.

With this post, though, I will tell you that, yes, Denver earned that win. They outrushed the Steelers, didn’t turn the ball over, and scored more points.

So, NJ22, are you going to give any specifics, or is it going to be “pass interference calls” again? Like last time you claimed that, when there weren’t any pass interference calls.

No, I’m assuming at vast majority of readers here are thinking that. I am entertained by the lols of NJ22’s posts, though, but they’re starting to get predictable and boring.

I think one last epic Brady v Manning showdown, this time on Manning’s turf, is a great way for this season to end. I’m looking forward to it and will be rooting for Manning to ride into the twilight with another ring.

I’ve always thought that “points scored” is an overrated stat.

No, you see, it was the calls that the revs should have made but let slide. You know, those big game-changing non-calls.

thank you

It was a clean game. Nothing outrageous happened (despite the uninformed opinion of certain people). Neither offense seemed to want to finish scoring drives.

Panthers and Patriots both held on but their opponents were coming back. The comebacks, tho, didn’t seem to know how to manage the clock.

Does anyone actually want to win this year’s Superbowl?
.

The bonehead moment of the Steelers/Broncos game was when the steelers decided to go for it on 4th and 1 while in FG range and decides to throw a bomb instead of 3 yd to get the first down?

Yeah, no team left looks great right now.

On the plus side, it is all 4 top seeds.

Maybe next week will be some rootin tootin foosball

So, my annual question: If the coaches of even the winning teams are such boneheads, why is it almost impossible for losing coaches to be permanently fired?

Chip Kelly was run out of Phillie on a rail, with everybody agreeing he made some idiotic decisions, and SF snapped him right up with a $24 million contract, probably with a clause that he gets a $10 million buyout if he gets fired for doing the same thing in SF that he did in Phillie.

Why can’t I be paid $24 million for screwing up royally?

One team’s screwup is another team’s “Meh, good enough.”

And because he screwed up in personnel decisions, which SF isn’t going to let him make.

I think it says a lot about just how few people there are in football capable of coaching at the NFL head coach level.

Bill Belichick failed elsewhere before landing Tom Brady and bunch of rings.

And if Belichick is smart, he’ll retire the same day as Tom Brady, lest we find out that he’s really just a good coach riding the coattails of a a GOAT-type QB.

Panthers fan here

that game made me so f**king angry
all year we’ve watched them almost blow leads

when will they learn
what the hell happened
did the Panthers use all their AP in the first half
better keep trying that patented Panthers Prevent Defense

I like when they have the lead in the fourth quarter and just run it three times then punt (but I guess they have to since they have no receivers but Olsen)
