And they actually do have very good hot dogs. They’re more know for their late night show and prickly staff, but they put out a good product.
Frank Ragnow, who had been a Pro Bowl center for the Lions before retiring this past off-season due to a string of injuries, had announced this past Wednesday that he was going to rejoin the Lions for the rest of this season.
However, during a routine meeting with the Lions’ medical team yesterday, prior to being activated, they discovered that a hamstring injury he had been dealing with is a “grade 3 strain” – as a result, he failed his physical, and won’t be playing for Detroit this season.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Chicago Bears are now the #1 team in NFC.
The Seattle defense is celebrating Thanksgiving a few days late, feasting like crazy on Minnesota’s offense.
The (small) YouTube channel Gridiron Grit has an interesting review of how the Chicago Bears seems to somehow manage to keep winning despite every reason to think they shouldn’t. Due to injuries they had to go deep on their bench and, somehow, these guys are pulling off the seeming impossible. Great to see!
Well…
He went 19/30 for 126 yards, 0 TDs, 4 interceptions.
So, there you go.
Steelers are now 6-6 and quite unlikely to make the playoffs.
I’m not sure if Bryce Young is actually getting better, or if he’s always going to be one of those inconsistent QBs with up weeks and down weeks. The Panthers cooled off the Rams today and played a pretty solid game to stay in the division hunt.
Also…yay Panthers!
(I assume you mean their win is what got Chicago to #1…for now at least).
Somebody has to win the AFC North. It might even be a team with a losing record.
Heck, maybe it could be the first team ever to win a division with 10 losses. ![]()
Well, in the AFC North they have the same record as the first-place Ravens, so it’s not actually far-fetched they could qualify by displacing the Ravens. But they are at best looking like a team that might stagger into the postseason, soon to meet a well-deserved fate there.
Their main hope is that the Ravens are looking about the same.
On the other end of the spectrum…
Who had the Patriots as the best team in the NFL at the end of November?
Ravens (6-6) schedule: Steelers, Bengals, Patriots, Packers, Steelers
Steelers (6-6) schedule: Ravens, Dolphins, Lions, Browns, Ravens
Bengals (4-8) schedule: Bills, Ravens, Dolphins, Cardinals, Browns
I’m guessing 9-8 wins the division. But I have no idea which team will win.
Also today, the Titans, Raiders, Saints, and Cardinals were eliminated from playoff contention, joining the Giants.
The Steelers may be struggling, but it’s not Aaron’s fault. Just ask him.
“Nice” to see some things haven’t changed. ![]()
The Seahawks won the NFC West once with a 7-and-9 record, and hosted a playoff game. They weren’t quite the pushover people thought they’d be.
At least Marshawn wasn’t.
Beast Quake: definitely a strong candidate for best NFL running play ever.
