Wait, you’re telling me that Aaron Rodgers threw an incomplete pass and the ref’s DIDN’T call pass interference? I’m gonna need a cite, cause i just don’t believe it, though i suppose there is a first time for everything.

The Packers are basically the Steelers of the NFC. One of the most fascinating Super Bowls of all time to watch was SB45, the one Green Bay won 31-25 - it was a Super Bowl in which the refs were apparently genuinely baffled as to which team they ought to be underhandedly assisting.
Buffalo’s first regular season win in Pittsburgh since the “Steel Curtain” era. Go Bills!
Sartorial note: I’m not a fan of the color yellow, I’m generally not a fan of the N.F.L. team based in western Pennsylvania, and I don’t generally like “all black” outfits but I liked the home team’s duds last night. More than I do their usual uniform.
Who thinks the Bills can go to Foxboro(ugh) next Saturday a leave with a “W”? Personally, I think they have a decent shot of doing so. Certainly more of a shot than pathetic Miami does in New England’s last regular season game this year!
Eh, the Bears are most definitely not my team. And no matter the team, they should be out-playing the opposing team, not having to out-play the opposing team + refs.
The week 6 Packer/Lions game at Lambeau was one of the most vulgar displays of reffing I’ve seen in the history of the game. It was so bad that sportscasters across the US were talking about it for weeks, and there is some consensus is that the Lions should have won that game save for the bad calls. Again, a division rival. I turned off that Packer/Bears game after the refs took away a great play and fumble recovery by the Bears because I knew after that call that Green Bay would win, and that’s precisely what happened.
If I were a cynic or a crazy conspiracy theorist I’d question whether the NFL is really hoping for a final Packer / Patriots Super Bowl matchup before Brady retires. ![]()
For the Bills to win the division they need to not only beat the Patriots and the Jets but also for the Dolphins to beat the Patriots. Otherwise, the Bills and the Patriots will have the same record and the Patriots will win the tie.
I can’t say it’s impossible for the Dolphins to beat the Patriots. They beat the Colts and Eagles, and neither one of those teams is awful. The Patriots have been struggling lately, only winning 3 of their last 6, and 2 of those wins were close ones against the Eagles and Cowboys. They’re not a dominant team right now, with their only crushing win in the second half of the season being their win against the Bengals yesterday (which is the worst team in the NFL this year).
I don’t expect the Dolphins to win, it would be one heck of an upset. But I wouldn’t be shocked either. I consider the Falcons upset over the 49ers in San Francisco to be a bigger shock, and that happened.
Josh Gordon suspended again and it wasn’t from singing too loudly in church.
Oh well, Seattle got one really good game out of him, and Lockett seems fully back.
My guess is that he was busted for weed.
Just amazing, 5 times.
Apparently that, and something PED-ish, as well. As per ESPN:
I am shocked – SHOCKED! – to find that he was indulging in banned substances! [/clauderains]
I wonder if the PED substance was something to mask the marijuana.
It’s time to end marijuana testing in all sports.
Which would make sense, except you literally ignored that the Bears quite possibly got 10 of their points from bad calls too.
The ONE bad call gave the Packers the chance to run down the clock before kicking the game winning field goal. Your consensus is reached by the same people that are certain the Lions got robbed in the Hail Mary game by a phantom face mask, even though there’s a picture of Rodgers’ head pulled down and to the side, and Devin Taylor’s finger inside the facemask.
The Bears had every chance to win that game. A bad call on a bang-bang play didn’t screw them; turnovers, a missing running game, the lack of anyone stepping up with the Packers schemed Mack out of the game, and Horsted holding on to the ball instead of pitching it away to the wide open player for a touchdown did.
The NFL announced this on Twitter at 4:20 EST. Really.
wow the raiders game was unnesccairly nasty yesterday
The post game booing, garbage throwing, and fights with security was absolutely surprising … to anyone who has never, ever seen a Raider fan before.
I don’t disagree they had every chance, but how can you say it didn’t screw them? They literally went from have the ball at the 50 to the Packers having the ball in field goal range. At minimum, that’s a 3 point swing.
And they got ten points from bad calls.
Like I said earlier, and I guess needs repeating - bad calls happen. They happen both ways, and to pretend that only THIS call was bad and the Bears never benefited is ridiculous.
Yeah it’s like blaming a loss in baseball on an umpire that called a low pitch a strike that should have been a ball… When he consistently keeps a low strike zone all game. It’s sour grapes, and a BS excuse, just get over it.
By the way, I guessed weed for Gordon because he just recently came up to Washington and as someone who lives in the greater Seattle area, you can’t avoid it. I swear it’s easier to find a pot shop than a Starbucks, they are all over. For someone with his history it’s like bringing a recovering alcoholic to a wine tasting event and hoping he doesn’t fall off the wagon.
