NFL Week 16

Actually a lot of teams seemed to spit the bit this week when playing against teams that had much less at stake:

The Chargers needing to win to stay with the Chiefs tanked against the Bengals. They probably couldn’t handle the cold weather.

The Jaguars also needing to win to stay in the playoff hunt, lost to the Redskins.

The Niners lost to the Rams. Of course the Rams had a lot to play for, so this isn’t the same, but if you saw the game what was shocking is how unprepared and disinterested the Niners seemed in the first quarter in a gmae that if the win they set themselves up nicely to win the division.

The Eagles, playing at home, lost removing any chance for a first week playoff bye.

The Giants at least can say they didn’t lose to an also-ran, but the performannce against the Packers hardly was the kind of thing you would expect from a team that needs a win.

Of course a few teams, stepped up, the Colts, the Packers, the Saints, but some of those losses above are hard to fathom (in my opinion the Chargers one is the most egregious).

Forgive my ignorance - can you elaborate on that? Was there something that the Bears fans did at or leading up to that game that was out of the ordinary? I’ve been transplanted on the west coast for a lot of years, so I only got to see that game on TV, and I don’t remember any talk or reports of anything like that.

Not that it would shock me if there were some douchebag Bears fans. Hell, every team has some of those.

Oh - and by the way - Bear Down, Chicago Bears!
