NFL Week 16

I said to an Eagles fan this preseason, that I just love the pre-season hubris. And here we are again. We’re not even to preseason, and a team with a 6-9 record is predicting a playoff run next year. Let me know when you beat a team with more than 5 wins a season who isn’t on their 3rd string QB.

Agreed. And ditto for the Penn state.

Hey! Leave us our delusions! It doesn’t hurt to allow us to dream.

The NFL Gameday guys even gave him a perfect 10 score.

“This goes to eleven”

I didn’t say they would make the playoffs. I said they would be good enough to be a playoff team. And I stand by it.

He had to put his hand down to do it, so the East German judge would have hammered him on points. But still pretty cool.

Absolutely right. I remember thinking (or, more precisely hoping) Don Majikowski was going to turn around the fortunes of the Packers. And that the Packer teams built around Tony Mandarich would restore the glory to Titletown. That’s what makes fandom great.

But what you said was that the Broncos could blame the loss on their defense. If the Broncos defense had shut the Bills out entirely, the Broncos still would have lost 21-14. Hell, Tebow himself was the direct cause of more points for the Bills than for the Broncos.

Torn ACL. Probably 6 months before a return is possible and a year before he’d be full strength. All preliminary of course, but quite likely. So the question becomes “will this affect their draft?”

Seriously…amazing shit! Watch: Arizona Cardinals at Cincinnati Bengals 2011 REG 16 - Game Center

A SERIOUS highlight catch!

Beaten to the punch…and I’m the only Bengals fan here…sigh

Back to wrapping presents…GO BENGALS!!!

Ouch. Also, Sterling Sharpe, of whom I remain a huge sentimental fan.

Ouch, again.

Too bad he’ll be gone by this time next year, probably for 30 years or more for the amount of dope he had in his house. What a waste of talent. But hey, you still have him for the rest of the year. Here’s hoping he does some spectacular things against the Ratbirds next week so he can at least go out on a good note as a member of a playoff-caliber team.

Simpson made an amazing play, no doubt, but the guy is really inconsistent for a #2 wideout. He’ll disappear for games at a stretch logging only a couple catches a game then have an 8 catch, 100 yard game. So losing him wouldn’t be that big a deal IMO, especially with Jordan Shipley coming back next season and with the draft, free agency (lots of talented wideouts are going to be FA’s this upcoming year) and a full offseason.

And its the damndest thing about all that pot he was busted with (~8lbs)…he still hasn’t been arrested or charged with anything. I really do think at this point that he didn’t have anything to do with the actual drug ring. That or he’s rolling over on everybody for leniency.

There is so much wrong with this post I don’t know where to start.

First off, initially it was announced that he had a tear in his left ACL. Not that it was torn, but that there was a tear in it. Huge difference.

Now it has been confirmed that his left ACL is torn and in addition he has torn the MCL in his left knee. Recovery time for such an injury is 9 months at the earliest, not 6 as you falsely claim and at least a full year before full strength and mobility will return. I smile thinking of Dio throwing a spazz when he heard the news.:p:D

You could start by looking up the word “preliminary” in the dictionary.

And I don’t even care about football.

(Sorry, dude - I didn’t think I’d be the first one in with that.)

As if this season wasn’t shitty enough for the Vikings, I guess they won’t have Peterson next year. That sucks.

Are you on acid?

That’s what ESPN was “preliminarily” reporting at the time last night. Of course updates will be coming as available.

Ah, a quick review of your posts puts you in the same league as some legendarily ignorant and short lived posters.

Yeah, except I get my NFL news from a legitimate source, namely NFL.com and the NFL network, and what they reported is what I posted so fail for you.
