I’m sure he’s actually very loud right about now; we simply cannot hear him anymore. ![]()
Theres a strange foreign metallic object sticking out of the Soldier Field turf. What an embarrassment that field is.
It was just resodded this week, too. I imagine it was some bit of metal left over from that procedure. The Chicago Park District has proven itself to be incapable of maintaining a football field.
I was at the Panthers-Jags game today. Panthers got their first win of the season. It was an ugly, ugly game. We sat through a downpour and the field was a soggy mess. Newton looked like a rookie today. He was throwing high all game and looked lost. Luckily Gabbert looked worse. He had a lot of trouble taking snaps in the rain. Newton impressed me though, by pulling himself together for the winning TD drive in the 4th quarter.
This is the year of the broken streaks. The Giants had similar length streaks beating the Redskins and losing to the Eagles, both streaks broken in the first three weeks. (Net result is a wash.) Add both of those streaks together and that’s how long the Billies have been losing to the Pats, and that streak is now over too.
Giants are a good team that got devastated by injuries. Such a team can still win on any Sunday, the odds just aren’t as good.
The Raiders are a pretty damn good football team. Wonder how long it’ll take Al Davis to put a stop to that.
Al Davis will have nothing to say about it. He’s been dead for years.
+1
Ryan Fitzpatrick went to Harvard? That’s amazing, why don’t the guys on tv ever mention that?
I’m trying not to go all Dio here, but what the fuck was with the refs in that game?
Maybe it’s just confirmation bias, but it seems like there has been a lot of crappy calls this season so far. And that last one was just bizarre. It’s like the ref didn’t understand how the play worked, so he just threw a random flag.
So, the Vikings. Is this a coaching problem or a player problem? Opinions?
Did anyone ever figure out what that holding call was on the Bears at the end of the game? No one saw anything on replays.
I didn’t think the Hester non-call was a big deal. I know he’s fast and all but the ball landed 20 yards beyond him; looked clearly uncatchable to me.
Seahawks win a division game at home, they have already proven you can both suck and win the west. Now they are going for the ultimate record, sucking, having no quarterback, and still winning the west.
The Rams are doing their best to help. After looking like they were making some progress last year, they regressed, and today they not only regressed some more, but absolutely stunk up the joint. It’s a good thing I don’t like them.
I’m uncertain why this season they continued to count on Jackson when it’s obvious that he’s worn out. He’s done, and anybody with any knowledge of the history of running backs in the NFL would have known that last year. Wishful thinking, I guess.

Could we bring Dio back only for NFL/Btret Favre threads?

WTF with the punt at the end of the PAckers/Bears game? Nobody saw the ball?
And the Bills are in sole possession of the AFC East lead. Tonight I’m gonna party like it’s 1993.
Yay! Another Super Bowl loss, coming up!

I think you just gave Jerry Jones wood.
