I’d be surprised if Ingram could get us even a 7th round pick in a trade. Maybe he could get us a backup in some other position of need (maybe a G or DL).
Maybe. The fewest points scored in a 16 game season is 140 by the 1992 Seahawks. That’s 2.2 points per quarter. As of right now, Jax is averaging 1.9 per quarter.
Man, that was a short 49ers-Colts game.
NFL.Com Headline" Defense carries Bengals to victory over Packers"
From the same article: "It wasn’t pretty for the Cincinnati Bengals, but Mike Zimmer’s defense carried the day in the 34-30 victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week 3.
Packers 30, Bengals 34
Overcoming four first-half turnovers, the Bengals’ defense harassed Aaron Rodgers all afternoon. Rodgers took four sacks, was hit at least a dozen times and threw multiple interceptions Sunday for the first time since Week 7 of the 2010 season.
Emphasis mine
De-fense
This might actually be the year Mike Zimmer gets some interviews for the inevitable slew of head coach openings. He’s deserved it for a while now, and it’s almost inconceivable nobody’s expressed any interested the last couple seasons.
Defense wins the game. I mean, look at Miami (if you can stand to), they are 3-0 with Gary the Snail at QB.
Wow. I thought that was a river in Egypt.
To be fair, if you forget about the last three games, then the Giants have a perfect record.
If you remember the last three games, the Giants STILL have a perfect record…
To be fair, the Giants have a perfect record in the last 3 games.
Hey, that means my Jags also have a perfect record, and are on track for an historic season! And if we can get Tebow, I guarantee you we will break some records.
Sure. I’m sure we already mentioned the historicity of the Jags performance earlier in the thread.
Don’t feel too bad.
They play division games pretty hard. It wouldn’t shock me if they won an odd game or three off the Texans or Colts or Titans. And Houston, unfortunately, has a habit of dropping random winnable games at odd times.
I have no idea if the Jags are finally on the right track or not, but we all knew that even with new ownership, GM, etc, it was going to take a couple years to get back to respectability, much less winning seasons.
On a more serious note, the Jags aren’t really my team, but I halfway adopted them when I moved down here a few years ago. My team is Atlanta and the Falcons are off to a real rocky start. I have only been able to watch one game because I’m in the Jax TV market, but the 1-2 record worries me a bit.
I don’t think the Dirty Birds have any reason to panic, but how concerned should I be? Especially now that the Saints are contenders again?
meow
Spongebob “Gary!”
Ain’t parity wonderful?
Depends on what your expectations are. Y’all are two games behind the Saints, including a head to head loss…but the Saints still have to come to Atlanta, so that may be a push. You’ve got some injury issues, but nothing insurmountable. The Falcons are going to contend for the Division Championship, and if they lose it (hopefully to my Saints), they’ll still be in the Wild Card picture.
I wonder if the Steelers understand that they can keep the football for more than one or two plays before they have to give it away.
Hamlet is not going to show so I will dance. DANCE! BIG win by the orange and black! defense! defense!
That and that over-drafted guy Giovanni Bernard, what a POS he is.
