If you didn’t know the Bucs were winless, just looking at their team stat rankings would tell you they’re on par with the Eagles. Disarray, maybe, but not sad and incompetent like the other losers tracked in my 0-16 thread.
My simplified calculation using raw numbers projects the Bears winning tonight’s game by 18 points. That is quite a divergence from the betting line, one of the games to consider putting money on. We shall see how my numbers work out.
(My numbers for the Denver game work out to 23, too close at this point to make a bet on either team.)
Tampa Bay is averaging 11 points a game, which is second to last in the NFL (Thank god for the Jaguars, because 11 points is definitely “sad and incompetent”). Granted their defense is very competitive, but it’s hard in this NFL to win when you can barely scrounge more than a touchdown and field goal a game.
I’m looking for the Raiders to beat the Chiefs in the biggest upset of the week. The Chiefs have a great defense, but their offense is fallible and the Raiders are getting hot with Pryor at QB.
When you can make Tony Fiametta look like Roger Craig, there is something seriously wrong with your defense. This Giants team is as awful as the pundits led me to believe.
Darn. I was trying to decide who to pick in survival, and didn’t think the Bears were a sure enough thing, so I stuck with my own Niners. I was thinking of stashing them for the London game against the Jags (allways a good bet against).
