When does the team have to announce that Daniels is out?
There is a Game Status Report that is due by 4 PM EST the day before the game, but a player could be “questionable” or “doubtful” on that report.
The deadline before declaring a player is out happens 90 minutes before kickoff, though usually info gets leaked before that time.
According to ESPN Fantasy Football, Daniels is off the Questionable list ready to play. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

That article was just published so it seems like recent news. It looks like he should be ready unless there’s some setback in practice.
Oklahoma could have 5 QB starting. Mayfield, Hurts, Murray, Rattler and Gabriel
Surely THAT would be a record!
Unless you are just counting where they played the last year of college that drops to 3. Actually would be 6 if any time played at Oklahoma counts, forgot about Caleb Williams.
Actually, it’s happened several times already.
- Miami in 1992 - Jim Kelly, Vinny Testeverde, Bernie Kosar, Craig Erickson
- USC in 2009 - Carson Palmer, Matt Cassel, Mark Sanchez, Matt Leinart
- Michigan State in 2014 - Drew Staton, Brian Hoyer, Kirk Cousins, Nick Foles
- N.C. State in 2017 - Philip Rivers, Russell Wilson, Jacoby Brissett, Mike Glennon
- Alabama in 2023 - Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa, Mac Jones, Bryce Young
- Oklahoma in 2025 - Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, Jalen Hurts, Spencer Rattler, Caleb Williams
I bolded the first two since all four QBs finished their career at the school. Every other instance, at least one of the players entered the NFL from another college. I italicized those names.
Michigan misses this by one week in 2004 with Tom Brady, Brian Griese, Drew Henson, and John Navarre. While going through quickly, I saw that Drew Henson (Dallas) and John Navarre (Arizona) started Week 12 in 2004 but one of the sources mistook game 12 as week 12. Navarre started Week 13.
(oops - too slow putting this together)
Vikings are starting Carson Wentz and have a few offensive linemen injured so I expect Cleveland to get 17 sacks on the day. They even have a shot of winning 6-3.
Amazon Prime couldn’t have asked for a better Thursday Night spotlight game.
Overtime!
Chance for more fantasy points for Puca
Should have thrown a pass.
Even as a 49ers fan loving the outcome, this was everything you want in a prime time game.
Going for the win was foolish. Mac Jones was totally cooked and the 49ers weren’t going anywhere the next possession. They should have kicked the FG and used the TOs to try and get another crack at it by forcing a 3 and out. I know they didn’t trust their kicker at all, but kicking there didn’t necessarily mean you were settling for a tie. I think McVay got a little rivalry brain there.
I’m a little torn. Playing not to lose often means you lose anyway. And with the way kickoffs and field goals have been going this year, giving the ball back could have been a loss anyway.
Initially, I agreed with the decision (although not the play call), but, in hindsight, I agree with you. The Rams pass rush was finally getting to a hobbled Jones, which would have forced the Niners to run the ball. With 3 1/2 minutes to play, two timeouts left, plus the 2-minute warning, getting the ball back in decent field position was a good possibility. And the Niners were averaging less than 3 yards per rush attempt.
I am guessing, however, that the brass of the NFL breathed a sigh of relief that there wasn’t another prime-time tie.
Jones showed some real grit in that game; he was everything you could want in a backup QB. I had written him off after his stints in NE and JAX, but with some more maturity and better coaching, he’s proving himself valuable in SF. Good for him.
As a Seattle fan, a tie would have been the ideal situation for the division.
Yup, which is why I think the Rams made the right call going for it with a yard to go. It’s a tough division and the value difference of a win over a tie is greater than the difference of a tie over a loss. Plus, it’s 1 yard. The two teams were 5 for 5 on 4th down conversions at that point.
