The Dolphins just punted on 4th down with about a minute to go and down by 3. Yeah, it was 4th and 17 from their own end of the field and they have their timeouts, but I’ve got to believe that the stats show that that was the wrong call.
It’s been obvious for awhile, and I’m shocked it hasn’t happened earlier, but the the Bengals need to find a servicable QB to replace Browning. Russell Wilson. Kirk Cousins. Hell, even Jameis Winston would be a step up.
I guess there’s a reason they’re the Bungles.
I’m not sure anyone would play well behind that offensive line.
Tampa / Mayfield again late. The interception was the big play. Wide open game to that point.
Dear ESPN,
Please stop endlessly propagating incredibly old, tired lies. Living through all that Vipperloid crap was bad enough.

Is the AFC East in play?
The locals here suddenly think so!
Needs a little more proofing though.
Drake Maye was impressive last night, as was Stefon Diggs. Pats defense played well the entire game. They could challenge the Bills.
I cannot believe the Pats went up there and took the undefeated Bills at home. Remarkable, particularly after they largely failed to capitalize on two early turnovers. The defense is proving to be legit, and Maye continues to impress with the playmaking out of the pocket. The offensive line…well, it’s better than last year
Meanhoo the Bills certainly didn’t look like Super Bowl contenders at all.
I remember when Andrew Luck was a senior in college, and team who played horribly, and were competing for the first draft pick, were said to “suck for Liuck.”
Then there was “tank for Tua” (big mistake there).
Best I can come up with is “go to heck for Beck”
Anyway, Miami’s season is over.
FWIW, the 4th Down Bot rated it a tossup whether or not to go for it.
It’s weird. The Seahawks have lost twice, and each time…
- They were at home.
- They were just one score away from winning in the last minute of the game.
- Sam Darnold and the rest of the offense were making their way down the field handily.
- The offensive line allowed the pass rush to blindside Darnold as he was trying to throw the ball, leading to a turnover that cost them the game.
In Week 1, it was Charles Cross being pushed into Darnold from behind as he was cocking his arm back to throw, which knocked the ball out of his hand for a fumble. This time, it was Darnold being pushed over by a pass-rusher as he was throwing a pass, which caused it to go off-target, bounce off a Buc’s helmet, and into the hands of another defender for an interception.
So frustrating that the issue seems to be with the O-line in both cases, after the team has worked so hard to clean it up. If not for those two plays, this team is undefeated. And Darnold has been pretty stellar this year, he’s not the issue.
Another thing, we see how much the Seattle defense can struggle without 3 of its top guys being able to play. They could not defend against the pass very well at all.
Seattle has allowed only six sacks in five games, which is 3rd best in the league among those teams who have played five games. The O-line appears to be doing a stellar job; unfortunately, those two plays have been game-changers.
By comparison, the Vikes have allowed 21 sacks in 5 games, while the Titans have allowed 19.
“Undefeated” is doing a lot of work there. The Bills squeaked by the Ravens (which doesn’t look so amazing now) and their other wins were against the Jets, Dolphins, and Saints. Those 4 teams have a combined 3 wins between them.
We’ll see how the Bills look when they play the Falcons and Panthers (two mediocre, but not terrible teams) the next two weeks. Then the Chiefs on Nov 2.
I mean, it could have just been bad luck. But when bad luck costs you the game twice and is responsible for your only losses, I dunno.
You could also blame other factors for making the game so close. The bad tackling early on by the defense in this game and the overall inability to defend against the pass would be the big reason why Seattle could not pull ahead. I mean, a game where you are able to get 5 touchdowns on consecutive possessions (5 TIMES IN A ROW THEY HAD THE BALL AND GOT A TD FFS) and still lose, I don’t think you can point fingers at the offense.
That’s a good point. The Bills spanked the Jets, but the Fins game was tied with 12 minutes to go, and the Saints were within two points with 9 minutes to play.
Oh, I totally agree. Which is why I pointed out the stellar job that the O-line has done thus far this season. Sam Darnold may be on his way to a career season.
Surprised the above play hasn’t gotten much attention here. ONCE AGAIN a player about to score a touchdown inexplicably drops it right before he crosses the goal line, AFTER numerous examples of this happening over the last several years (and earlier). How does someone do this after all of those other examples? The amount of sheer and utter mindlessness on display just boggles my entire being.
Thing is the Cards would have been up 28-6, but instead the Titans quickly marched down the field after the touchback and made it 13-20, and eventually won.
Yean, I just found out about the entire Cardinals meltdown on Sunday. Wow. Demarcado. Going hyperconservative. Murray taking a snap to the face. An int turned TD for the other team. Getting beat deep on the final drive. That was almost comical in its ineptitude.
Thank God I hate the Cardinals nepo-baby Bidwell ownership, because I can laugh at them. Well deserved, Cards!
