NFL: what's an "illegal" snap count? (Ravens)

There is NEVER any way to challenge a judgment call like pass interference, regardless of the time on the clock, the status of time outs, etc. It is not a challengable call. And inside of 2:00, the teams are precluded from challenging anyway.

Either that or a pathetic Giants fan…
I mean GEEZ! Who in their right mind would subject themselves to that train wreck this year? I mean, you’ve got to be one unbalanced puppy to…oh…wait…nevermind, Hal

Hey, we’ll take whatever help we can get against the Pats, those cheating bastards. (I know, I know, they’d wipe the floor with us regardless. That’s what makes Bile-chick even more of a reprehensible toad. Not that I’m bitter.)

Okay, I knew about the two-minute thing, but you really can’t challenge pass interference calls? I just looked it up on Wikipedia, and it appears you’re right (unless there’s some weird lawyering with interference making the pass “incomplete”). Jeez, that’s a lousy penalty to call in a game-critical situation like that[sup]1[/sup]. I understand they’ve got to look for it and call it where they see it, but… yowch.

  1. Especially since jersey-tugging by the defender is a “rules highlight” this season, and the replay shows clear and vigorous jersey-tugging. Ugh.

Pass interference is considered a judgement call, not something that can have conclusive visual evidence, so it’s not among the things that can be challenged.

Hate me, he does.
