Jesus. This is starting to read like a pulp novel. I’m beginning to think I’m going to be implicated somehow because I have a Patriot’s jersey in my closet.
Should have turned it in during the Pats “Guns for Hernandez’s Jersey” exchange.
Yet another weird bit of evidence, Hernandez had a secret apartment, where he stashed evidence.
Apparently, his friends are cooperating with the police. The cops found out about the apartment through questioning one of them.
Why you’d stash evidence in an apartment instead of trying to get rid of it, I have no clue. I hear tell clothes burn pretty well. Or at least they can be tossed in the trash for collection before the cops find your secret pad. And storing ammunition there, including the same caliber used in the murder? Wow.
That wasn’t just an ordinary accident either - the car took out a water line, gas line, destroyed a telephone pole and was up to 6 feet in the air when it finally crashed.
News report here.
At this point, as a Pats fan, I wonder if I should be grateful that this sociopath didn’t shoot any of the other players.
Maybe the thought of having to be Tebow’s teammate *again *was what put him over the edge?
That’s the last straw! I’m dropping him from my keeper league.
You need to read some of the threads here bemoaning the bare shelves at the standard ammunition selling retailers (Walmart, etc) and the high prices for ammunition at those places which do have it in stock–then you would understand.
But simply possessing the same calibre of ammunition as used in a crime is not proof of anything.
Then it should probably be at his very large house, not stashed somewhere else.
By itself, no, it’s not. Combined with the other stuff they found there, including some of the clothes he was seen wearing on the night of the murder? That’s kind of another story.
There was other evidence there. Namely, some of the clothes he was wearing that night.
And forget the murder. Of the initial charges against him, 5 were weapons related:
1 count of carrying a firearm without a license
2 counts of possessing a large capacity firearm
2 counts of possessing a firearm without an FID card
If you’re already hiding the clothes you wore while murdering somebody instead of getting rid of them (!), why compound that with ammunition for the weapons you illegally possess, much less ammunition of the same caliber used in the murder? If it’s innocuous, you keep it in your home with your guns. Stashing ammunition where you don’t have weapons is … well, it’s pretty damned strange.
And, yes, it’s hard finding ammunition. I’ve got a small amount for my 9mm, and it’s hard to find enough for even a small amount of target practice.
This keeps getting stranger and stranger. What is patently obvious though is that Hernandez is a brutal and stupid criminal.
You’re right. He’s become a caricature of a thug in a dime-store cop novella. This is really bizarre!
Ha! You think it’s obvious, but he’s actually completely innocent. This has all been engineered by Putin as a not-so-subtle message to Bob Kraft to just let the Super Bowl ring go.
Shake the jersey and see if any guns or drugs fall out.
Luckily, it’s a Brady jersey, so I imagine all I’d get is some hair gel and maybe a latte or two.
I know the question has already been asked, but is there a good explanation as to why an underage Tim Tebow was at a bar at 1am? Did Hernandez murder Tebow too (figuratively)?
Either he was drinking or he was trying to tell people not to drink. Does anyone really care?
Maybe Tebow was trying to keep one of his favorite receiving targets from, erm, being prevented from playing?
Ha! Well played. In Soviet Russia, Hernandez shoot you!
Ewwww. I’d rather have a Hernandez jersey.
Makes “Murderers’ Row” sound like a bunch of sissies.
