This is the face of today’s Republican party. Your granddad’s Republican party doesn’t exist anymore; the extremists have taken over.

I feel kind of sorry for sensible Republicans these days, and there are still quite a few, because they’re saddled with this madness and have no where else to go, and constantly find themselves in the position of defending the indefensible.

I have been registered republican for better than 30 years [mainly because I had to register as something, so I flipped a coin:dubious:] and I have stopped protesting that there are many sensible republicans out there. It isn’t so much that there are few sensible republicans, it is that there are a few seriously loud and obnoxious ones grabbing all the news.

I swear, the more I see in political news, the more I feel like running for various offices on the grounds that I couldn’t do any worse.:smack:
