Yeah, I just read in the paper he had a third stroke. Jesus, these guys weren’t just legends, they were pioneers. If it hadn’t been for them, we’d have had no Gretzky, no Orr, no Lemieux. They WERE hockey.

Daniel Alfredsson signed a one day ceremonial contract and is out skating in the warm-ups with the Senators for one last time after announcing his retirement this morning.
I have nothing but admiration and respect for Mr. Alfredsson. It’s an emotional night, even for some Leaf fans. 
Yeah, same here. I was hoping him and the Wings were planning on one of those show up in March for the playoff run deals, but I guess not. He’s near the top of the list of guys who deserved to lift the cup, but never made it.
I really don’t think Martin Brodeur has anything left, but I’m curious to see tonight. It will be weird to see him with the Blues.

Over the last couple of years, there have been some questionable decisions made when it comes to which players are given contract extensions, traded away, or left to free agency.

Man the Wings shootouts are just Pathetic. If they could go 50-50 they would have a decent lead. Babcock should just change things up next time and send out the young D guys or something, just to break the building pressure.
