NHL March 2018

The Blue Jackets will be happy to hear that, they need a win tonight.

I kind of like the Rainiers. Obviously, you can incorporate the mountain, but it was named after a Royal Navy officer in the late 18th century, so there’s that imagery to play with. It’s also a play on “rainier” meaning ‘having more rain than’ and you can use maybe some early West Coast fishermen garb during a storm imagery, plus the storm images themselves which seem to work for the Hurricanes although might seem derivative.

The Canucks’ Brock Boeser got a nasty injury the other night, scuttling his chances of rounding out an incredible rookie season. I was hoping he would’ve surpassed Pavel Bure’s 34 rookie goals, but the main thing is he’s already showing slow but steady signs of recovery and will have the summer to get better for next season. (Even without the injury, I’m sure Borzal still would be getting the top rookie vote, regardless.)
Landing into the edge of the boards, where the bench door opens = {{{scary stuff}}}.

The Preds seem to be on a mission right now.

How bout the Seattle Windows XP?:cool::cool:

Milestone night Monday. Flurry got career win 400 and Ovechkin got career goal 600. Thirteenth and twentieth respectively to reach those levels.

Just how good is Patrik Laine?

ETA: Especially making less than $850,000.

Murray might be back tomorrow night!

With last night’s loss to the Avalanche, we now know that this will be the first time in a decade that the Chicago Blackhawks will not be a part of the NHL post-season.

Jesus. The Stars might not win another game this season.

That’s how I feel about the Knights: not exactly ending the regular season strong like I had hoped.

Well, we swept the Flyers this season – beating those pricks always feels good.

(“Crosby Sucks” indeed. Heh. Has anyone ever noticed that when opposing fans start chanting that, he usually ends up scoring?)

On the other hand the Sharks have been on an amazing hot streak, basically since they obtained Evander Kane.

I understand the words but the sentence makes no sense.

Knights clinched a playoff spot with the win over Colorado tonight. Now it’s official: first expansion team in the post-season.

May I just point out that although the Leafs just lost to Buffalo, they’ve had an exceptional March.

Thank you.

What can I say, Kane finally found the culture that fits him. At least, that’s how it appears. The Sharks all say they love him.

As my Wings pretty much shit on the ice all year, and finished up with an epic steaming pile for March, I’m a Knights fan for as long as it lasts I guess

Ugh. I hate when I hear ‘serous health issues.’ Just saw this on Twitter about former Blue Jackets captain Lyle Odelein

Oh! Oh! Is win #50 also gonna mean a Pacific Division championship for the expansion team? WHY, YES; YES IT IS!

ETA: Check out Karlsson’s shorthanded goal that won the title.

Bad news: I missed last night’s game because I went to bed early due to a nasty headache. (Why does that ALWAYS have to coincide with a game?)

Good news: We made the play-offs for the 12th time running!!!

Just as long as long as things don’t blow up into a red tracksuit kerfuffle like there was when he was in Winnipeg.

While the Canucks let me down again this season it’s nice to know that their upcoming prospects (Pettersson, Demko, Juolevi, Lind, Gaudette and Palmu) have been the talk of the scouts. As long as they’re not brought up too early, so they can get a chance to incubate fully in their respective leagues.
