NHL/Olympic Hockey: February 2010

Hey, I found it too:

The Game is my shepherd, I shall not want.

It maketh me skate from childhood,
it leadeth me to the rink at five a.m.,
it restoreth my soul.

   It guides me in skill and competition
   for its own sake.

Even though I play
through the traffic in a game of road hockey,
I will fear no cars,
for the Game is with me;
the drivers who themselves played the Game,
slow down and drive safely.

It prepareth a Home rink for me
in the presence of the Visitors.
It giveth me scoring chances;
their goalie leaketh like a sieve.

Surely breakaways and power plays will follow me
all the games of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Gold
forever.

did you just copy and change words from thuberger’s comment?

Roch Carrier said it best years ago - The Sweater

Check the next $5 bill you get - « Nous vivions en trois lieux : l’école, l’église et la patinoire; mais la vraie vie était sur la patinoire. » “We lived in three places - the school, the church and the skating rink - but our real life was on the skating rink.”

How could we forget that?

I did not change any of the words from the quote I found - it was posted anonymously on another message board and I thought I’d share my discovery here.

From seeing your quote I’m guessing there are probably lots floating around by now. I like the one I found better.

Completely non-scientific poll, but I’ve never seen such widespread and total support and interest for a hockey game as I did amongst the people I know for that game yesterday. I hope it carries over to the nhl.

and yet you still didn’t cite your source and made it look like you “discovered” this new religion.
