Well, regardless of what happens in this series I think it’s a pretty safe bet that this year’s pick will be the one the Devils forfeit as their penalty for the Kovalchuk contract fiasco.

As a longtime Flyers fan I would harbor no love for the Devils anyway, but I’ve had a grudge against them ever since they introduced the neutral-zone trap defense-first philosophy that turned the league into such a snooze-fest for all those years.

It’s always bothered me that no one insisted that Miroslav Satan play for the Devils. I would have moved heaven and earth ('cause that’s what it would take, obviously) to get Satan (RW) and Chimera (LW) playing on the same line for the Devils.
You’d need a centre, and the most beast-like I can think of off hand is, unfortunately, Jay Beagle, and that totally doesn’t fit what I’m looking for, no matter how badass Snoopy can be. I know people with the last name of Dragon…that would have been so freaking cool. Satan-Dragon-Chimera.

Just glanced out my window and there is a woman walking with her son, who seems to be about 3-4 years old. He’s wearing a Habs jersey and carrying a hockey stick. So cute.
Loved this getting littered all over my FB feed after the OT winner against NY. These catchy little things annoy me to no end.

Well, Too bad Lidstrom didn’t get to skate off the ice for the last time with the cup, or at least get a take final bow on home ice like one of the all time greats deserves, but you knew hed have the class to make the decision when the team can go into the off season fully prepared on what needs to be done coughBarrySanderscough.
The next captain(Pavel I’d guess) is going to be stepping into some big skates.
As a Penguins fan, I suppose I should hate Lidstrom, but the guy is phenomenal, and a class act.
Pavel’s said he doesn’t want to be captain. My money’s on Zetterberg.
That’s been the consensus. Probably doesn’t help that Pav can still barely speak english.
