Nice to see Mark Hamill & Carrie Fisher aging gracefully without plastic surgery

This pic showsthem looking every bit their ages (Fisher 58 and Hamill 63) and that’s not a bad thing. It’s nice to see two actors who are not running to the knife. Hamill is a little rough but I would guess some of that is due to his being a heavy smoker.

Although little Anakin channeling Charles Manson is little disconcerting.

Carrie looks like she may have had a little…Mark of course already had it early in his life when he had his car wreck. But I agree with the overall spirit of what you’re saying. If a franchise pretty boy got scarred up like he did these days, I’d think they’d replace him…and what a furor that would cause.

Hamill looks like he’d be fine playing the dad on a sitcom. And the biggest criticism I have of Fisher in that picture is that those glasses are all wrong-- She’d look a lot better with round frames.

Man, do I feel bad for that guy. He was far too young to understand what he was getting himself into.

Family portraits like that always warm my heart.

Manson, or Lloyd?

I agree with the OP.

I see Schwarzenegger making the rounds now. He looks absolutely ridiculous. I think step one for him would be to let his hair go white and stop the coloring. I’m on mobile, so no link to include.

I would say that Fisher actually looks better than she did, say, a decade ago. And it’s been a long time since I’ve seen a picture of Hamill–I’m so used to thinking of him as a voice actor these days I haven’t really thought about how old he is or what he must have looked like.

They all look fine. Even Jake Lloyd.

I saw a more recent picture of Hamill and he seems to have lost a decent amount of weight for the new movies (and grown a Jedi-esque beard). Granted he’s still not exactly svelte, but those Jedi robes are pretty forgiving, so I imagine he’ll pass alright as a Space-Samurai.

Harrison Ford looked fifty when he was 30, and looks fifty now that he’s 70. Basically the Clint Eastwood school of aging.

I think Jake Lloyd looks a little more… stabby than the other two. The poor guy is severely messed up from inordinate amount of Internet Hate he had directed at him.

Looks OK to me: http://img.bleacherreport.net/img/images/photos/003/251/383/hi-res-33e56c7229a12e64f031bc0f65269dc6_crop_north.jpg?w=630&h=420&q=75

Good points. Abe Vigoda looked like 75 in Godfather I; still looks 75 (42 years later).

Huh. You’re right.

I’ve been seeing photos of him lately and he has that goofy stretched skin/dyed hair look that screams Hollywood old.

I read an article about his car chase and it mentioned that he was diagnosed with schizophrenia when he was 19. He was off his meds when he did the car chase.

My dad says that Maggie Smith has been 70 for about 40 years.

Speaking of Abe Vigoda…

I watched the Kingsman last night. Had no idea that was Mark Hamill in the beginning.

Having said that, he does actually look pretty good for his age.

Fifteen years later, he’s *still *podracing ? Now that’s dedication to a role.

Carrie Fisher is only 58? That would make her 19 when she filmed SW: ANH. I haven’t seen those movies in a loooong time, but I imagine her being older than that in the film - say closer to 29. (Of course, I was only eight in '77 when I saw it; she could have been 12 and I would have pictured her as being “older.”)

Of course, if she’s fibbing about her age and she’s really older, that only mean she looks better. Either way, I’d say her looks are a testament to decades of clean, sober living.
