Nice try, VHS, now get in the box!

Hmm, actually the site I just linked to was a little misleading at first glance. The prices listed on the far right are for three months. I hadn’t noticed that. I guess the programming for C-Band is a pretty decent deal, but you would still have to worry about the initial investment for hardware.

Hell, if I had my own house, I think I’d get one.

I’ll just jump in here because, as a poor technophobe, I feel it is my place to state loudly and crabbily, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

That’s how I feel about everything techno-wise, and I look forward to the day when my grandchildrena and their friends call a weird old man for watching my shitty VHS tapes instead of whatever newfangled thing they’re using by then.

VHS is dead? Heck, I’ve got a Beta machine right beside me as I type this. Honest.

I’m waiting for DVD to go the way of the Laser disk before I spend any money on a forced upgrade of my television recording device.
