True story - I, er, “appropriated” the FBI’s webpage logo and used it at the top of the “about me” section of my website.
Never occurred to me that it might be illegal at the time. I was new to the internet and the niceties of “fair use” were somewhat lost on me - I figured if they didn’t run of those scripts that brings up a “naughty naughty!” box if you right clicked on their images, they didn’t mind you using them.
Thankfully I took the whole thing down like 10 years ago.
