So I admit it, I’m hooked on G4’s rebroadcast of the Japanese show “Ninja Warrior.” Anyone else share my addiction?

I really like watching the fisherman and ship’s captain Nagano. I also harbor affection for Bunpei Shiratori and his dogged persistence.
I could do without the goofy older guy and his octopus though.
I love it but I always catch round one and very rarely see round two broadcasts. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a round three.
I love it when I catch it on, but I’ve never followed it enough to know the individual characters. It’s a lot of fun to see the guys try, and then somebody finishes and woohoo!
It’s surprisingly entertaining, and doesn’t try to take itself too seriously. Nothing wrong with that.
I would love to give it a shot, though I don’t think I’d clear the first course.
I wonder why the water is always dirty. It’s that way on MXC too.

Ok. I’m in. I just went to see if anyone’s opened a thread on this! My girls, 3 & 4, also love seeing “if the man’s going to fall in the green goo”. We watch it all the time. But I have to say I like the characters in the ‘thongs’ best. Like the Sumo wear, only smaller. Hoo! There are some really good athletes on this show!
Women of Ninja Warrior is my new favorite show ever.

I love this show. I missed the next episode after seeing the American Olympian being one of two guys to make it to the second round. I wonder how far he made it.
I maintain the rolling log is a bad obstacle since the log itself can roll off the rails regardless of the skill of the “Ninja”.
This show absolutely fascinates me. Part of the time I’m just sitting there with my mouth hanging open.
They just started showing Women of Ninja Warrior. It seems a little slower, but I’m favorably impressed by the way they made so many obstacles appropriate for women’s lower center of gravity and lower-body strength. I’ve never seen round one, though.
I saw one the other day with dominos. The women had to step from domino to domino. That was cool, but I thought it was way too long! There were only three obstacles in that one and two were balance. Since this was for the women, I have to assume they did this for a reason. I like watching the women, but the obstacles need to have the variety of the “men’s” course.
Oh hey! This thread isn’t dead. That’s always fun to see. Yep, this show has a permanent record status on my DVR and I’m hooked. I lap it up. I even harbor dreams of one day competing and being the Godzilla on the course. I mean even when they had Tarek, he was only 6’2" so imagine them gawking at a 6’6" behemoth!
Fun stuff, glad others enjoy the show too. Makes me miss American Gladiators…

G4 is showing a Ninja Warrior marathon this morning! It’s the men’s version so far. I’m so excited. I don’t know how many hours it’ll be on, but don’t miss it!
I’m sure anyone who watches G4 got a shot of Ninja Warrior this weekend. I caught a few tournaments here and there, the one standout for me was in the women’s division. 3 different times, 100 women started out; 3 different times only one finished. And it was the same girl, Ayako Miyake. Gotta give that girl some props.
