A man who wants to ban religious apparel (and I don’t mean full burkas either; fucking head scarfs for god’s sake!), ban a religious book, wants to deport 2nd generation immigrants when they break the law (where to? he doesn’t seem to know - I’m quite sure Morocco won’t accept them), a man who’s calling for “street commandos” to police the cities.
And he’s currently estimated to become 2nd or 1st largest political party over here in the July elections.

I’m no fan of religion and IMO the current court case against Wilders is a good indication of what’s wrong with our hate speech laws, but Wilders is just a fucking asshole who’s solution to every problem is pestering Muslims. That does’t mean I don’t think there are no problems with Muslims in the Netherlands, and it certainly doesn’t mean I’m an Islamist, or a Communist, or a member of the “Left Wing Church” (which you made up) and it goddamn doesn’t make me a fascist, you bunch of cunts. Not to worry about that…the muslims are against that themselves and since it’s leagal to kill anyone that is not a proper muslim, it is nothing he has to really worry about - kinda like a self sorting problem.

Well, banning Islam would certainly be wrong, but there are other “religions” that are indistinguishable from fascist movements, and pretending that they are protected by religious liberty and shouldn’t be dismantled by the government is entirely equivalent to arguing for a hands-off policy towards the Nazis during the Weimar era.
Sure, but it’s impossible to stop a religion by any sane law. What you can do is fine or convict or ban specific organizations, which could be easily done if you can find evidence that those organizations’ actions are criminal. But whether or not the organizations are “religious” shouldn’t matter here, and you can’t really change people’s beliefs anyway. If some religious “leader” is calling for violence or stuff like that, put him in prison. If some mosque or church is constantly getting those kinds of speakers, prosecute for criminal conspiracy. No need to change the law to explicitly ban all kinds of stuff; the things we should be most worried about are illegal already.
ETA: I’m also interested to see if any legal action is going to be taken against the Catholic Church, given the current wave of “discoveries”.
