Joking deckhand chokes on bait in front of kids
That’s got to leave some sort of nasty impression on those poor kids.
That’s sad. What a senseless way to die. I wonder if any other adults were around and if anyone tried the Heimlich maneuver.
Sadder still to have your demise reported on April 1 and be named “Twaddle.”
How horrible!
I wonder how well the Heimlich would even work in that scenario. If you make a small circle with your thumb and forefinger, it’s easy to push a fish through headfirst but much more difficult to pull it back through because of the fins. Of course I’m just going by my own experience with holding on to small perch while I take the hook out. Not sure if this would apply to something you could swallow hole.
In any case…a sad story.
