Yes, the New York Times is working VERY hard to avoid annoying Mr. All-Powerful.
As for the numbers, I follow Alt National Parks, but I suspect they were not as rigorous in their methods as was this account:
The short thread goes into some detail on their math. It also puts the lie to all those lazy TV pundits who are always claiming 'there were a lot more protests during Trump’s first term than there have been during the second.’
As for Donald’s attempt at self-glorification: many have noticed the lack of enthusiasm by the military personnel for providing Donald with a Kim Jong-Un-style display, including conservative Bill Kristol:
True, but you’d rather they looked good for King Donald, the first of his name’s birthday parade? Not me.
Besides, it’s not like he has any use for them other than props. They were sleeping on the floor and eating MREs while his ICE-thugs were put up in hotels and harassing the cleaning staff.
I apologize, I was pointing out that your thread (which I linked too) was one of the options for the current sidetrack in this thread. I didn’t mean to target you for anything specifically.
Ha, small world. I was at the one a few miles west of you (off 423, between Main and Stonebrook) and heard estimates of right around that same number for us. I was pleasantly surprised at the number of honk-honk-honk-honnnnnnnks with people waving and pumping their fists out their car windows. “Glorious” is a great word for it.
