What really scares me here is the following question about your cat’s name:

1. DS9 captain or router manufacturer?

I don’t know.

Actually, he was pre-named when we adopted him, and he was responding to the name. However, they’d spelled it “Sysco”. I didn’t want to confuse the little guy by renaming him, but I didn’t want a cat named after afood distributor either. So I just tweaked the spelling - I was actually thinking of something more along these lines.

My Joey has a thing about pulling hair out of my hairbrush and eating it while I’m at work if I forget to put it back in the drawer in the morning. Occasionally I will come home and start to scoop the litter box only to find several poops strung together on a long strand of my hair. I keep having discussions with him about how dangerous this is, but he doesn’t seem to care. He also loves water…he wants to be in the shower with me, and if I don’t close the toilet lid he gets in there and plays in the water.

Chunk loves elastic hair ties. He won’t try to actually eat them. He will simply stalk and kill them until they’re no longer one solid loop, then abandon them because they are presumably no longer a challenge.

My cat Nicky steals them, too, and scatters them all over the house - but only the plain elastic ones, not the “scrunchy” kind. I find my daughter’s hair ties all up and down the hallway every morning.

Sirius eats toes. Specifically, my toes. He never bothers anybody else.

I’m not a cat or anything, but when I was a wee one I ate plaster, dead insects, corners off pages, etc.

Our dog Maggie ate most of a razor today. She’s chewed on them before, but that’s the last time I put one in the bathroom garbage, even at the bottom of the can. Remarkably, she seems to be fine.
