The longest running show in television history has been preemted again. What’s more important than Meet The Press this week? Fucking tennis. Fuck you, tennis. And fuck you to the television people that decided to put tennis on instead. I would think this show would get more respect, but it seems to be preempted quite a bit. Sometimes it’s golf. Fuck you too, golf.
Yeah, it it was Curling, then they would be important, not tennis.
What is Meet The Press?
That’s the political show that’s on Sunday morning while you’re doing kitchen crap. It’s on in the next room, so you don’t have to watch, but listen as you, for example, unload the dishwasher.
A lot of times it will be shown later on CNBC. Did you check listings on that channel?
Ah yes, nowadays it is more like Meet Depressed …
I get my tv through the air. I could probably watch the episode online, but I’ve already got the dishes put away.
“Meet the press has been preempted” sounds like the broad state of the union right now.
The tennis was awesome. Viva Nadal!!
Btw…since you are pts Chevy channel 4.2…in LA its replayed at 5.
Spell check…over the air check channel 4.2
Networks will always go for sports over anything else. The Heidi game showed that.
No soap, radio.
Am I the only one who thought of that upon seeing the thread title? Yes? Okay, I’ll see myself out.
Is Meet The Press on the radio? That would suit me just fine! I never tought about that.
This is so eerily spot-on. I’d swear you have been peeking through my window!
Except at my house, it’s Fareed Zakaria.
Yeah, fuck tennis and golf. Only thing worse on TV is poker.
Was that a Steal Your Face sticker I saw on your fridge?
No, you’re not the only one, but you beat me to it by an hour and a half.
Yeah, but he’s not in L.A., and Chicago doesn’t have a channel 4. WMAQ 5 is the NBC station and has COZI TV on 5.2, so there’s no replay of Meet the Press there.
Sunday morning has long been my time to go through the mail, pay the bills, file new documents and toss outdated ones, and sometimes do laundry. Always done with every TV in the house tuned (I don’t have cable) to the Sunday morning news shows.
ABC disrupted my whole routine when they moved Stephanopolis to the same time as Meet The Press. I always watched one, then the other.
The upside is that when MTP is pre-empted for Sports, I can watch ABC instead.
It is kind of funny that the sports pre-emptions always seem to happen after a week of big political happenings.
In the case of the '60s Vietnam hearings in the Senate, an I Love Lucy rerun was deemed more important by CBS.
