NORWALK, Connecticut (AP) – Thomas G. Yohe, the creative force behind
television’s Emmy-winning “Schoolhouse Rock” cartoons, which set
educational messages to catchy music, has died of cancer. He was 63.
<sigh>
Expect Bob Dorough (his musical partner) to expire of liver failure any minute as well (he may have already as far as I know).
Dorough was traveling the college radio circuit about five years ago promoting “School House Rock: Live”. The guy showed up plenty toasted and reeking of liquer. He was really looking pretty rough and his nose looked like a veiny potato.
He was polite enough though and played “Conjunction Junction” and “I’m just a Bill” on his little Casio keyboard without missing a note.
