No Pulitzer for Fiction this year

Don’t know if the committee gave a reason. If they do, please link. Bookstores will be bummed they won’t have a winner to sell. Was there any good American fiction book that you guys read from last year that you would have given the prize to? Surely some piece of American fiction was prize-worthy.

Alloy of Law by Brandon Sanderson? Only American book that rose to my attention this year.

And my NaNoWriMo submission is shut out once again.

The committee is simply echoing the immortal words of Will Smith from Hancock:

“All y’all suck.”

I’m downloading the audiobook as we speak. Loved the Mistborn books.

I accidentally discovered Mistborn via an audiobook as one of my freebies for an Audible.com trial. I love to read, and would have rather read this universe than listen to it, ideally. So I’m a little disappointed that I’ve ruined a great reading experience by losing it to audiobooks, but I do like to listen to them while doing the dishes or driving.
