NO RASINS IN STUFFING!!!

It does not make it taste better. So stop it!!!

Yes! For God’s sake, NO RASINS IN STUFFING!

If you’re going to put ANYTHING in there, use RAISINS! They taste a ton better!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…raisins in stuffing! My raison d’etre!

My mom put raisins in the stuffing we had yesterday. I don’t recall her ever doing that before. I must say…mmmmmm. They were good. Tasted just like turkey.

Yuck yuck yuck yuck…ever had rasins in salad? DON"T

Raisins are natures candy.
good in stuffing

peace,
JB

I make 2 stuffings-- one sweet, one savory. The sweet one always has raisins and sometimes even apples. The savory one is usually cornbread and sausage.

I like 'em both just fine.

Or Bread Pudding dammit.

raisins are bugs. That is all.

Zette

Word, Zette.

Raisins belong in a carrot and raisin salad, cinnamon raisin toast and maybe a school lunchbox.

Raisins in stuffing? <insert retching sounds here> They belong as much as almonds, walnuts, crisp celery or other such crunchy stuff. Strictly speaking, they are an abomination (especially in pastries).

Reminds me of when I went to a friends house for dinner.

Raisins. In the MEATBALLS. Is that legal?

All I can say is that it’s the one and only time I’ve ever spit food into a napkin (discretely!) and not finished dinner. Gag me. There shoulda been a warning label.

Zette

Not Raisins… little bits of dried apricots! Yum!

Amen. And while we are on the subject, I just don’t get this sweet sauces on meat thing. I mean, meat is meat, and sweet is sweet. And they don’t belong together. It is just…wrong. No other word for it. IMHO.

I’ve never had raisons, apples, or apricots in stuffing, and this post is the first I’ve heard of it. Sounds bitchin’ to me; if I would’ve read this yesterday I would’ve made it so. I’ll have to remember that next year.

not only should raisins be prohibited in stuffing, but they should be banned from bread pudding, rice pudding, and oatmeal cookies too

Damn it to the bowels of bloody hell!

Raisins have no application in any foodstuffs meant for human consumption.

They are a foul malignant cancer of a once-proud grape.

<shudder> raisins…

can i get an amen!

Perhaps, my friend, you didn’t have the RIGHT raisins in the stuffing!

GOLDEN raisins!
GOLDEN SEEDLESS raisins!
mmmmMMMMMMmmmmmm!

We had golden seedless raisins in the sausage-sage stuffing yesterday.

and was it ever gooooOOOOoood!

I should perhaps have said that I LOVE raisins. Brown raisins, (espcially YUMMMMY)golden raisins…ALL raisins.

Just not in stuffing.

Sheesh, now I have a craving for an oatmeal cookie.[sub]with raisins[/sub]

Oh wow, Grizz, woudja send me the recipe? My e-mail’s in my profile. I’ll send you a meatloaf recipe I make with golden raisins (which sound a lot classier under the UK name, sultanas, even if it does sound a bit cannibalistic). They rule, whatever you call 'em.

Dried apple would also work well in stuffing…or those sweetened cranberries.

And you no meat-and-sweet people: don’t you ever have General Tso’s Chicken? Or Duck a l’Orange? Or apple sauce with your pork chops? Or pork loin stuffed with prunes?
