I’ve tried to upgrade the driver, test sounds, reboot, installed 7 windows upgrades. Before (an hour ago) headphones did work, now they don’t. I am running a virus scan now, but I have run out of things to try.
Help, anyone, please?

Nothing, the computer had been off and I wanted to use it, so I booted it up and no sound. I tested all speakers and although the showed the green bars and said they were working fine, there was no sound
Yup, I went into the mixer section and everything’s up at least half-way.
No. No sound whatsoever.
Here is what I’ve done since the last post: Did a system restore to 1.5.12, checked for driver update - none needed for high def audio device, downloaded the newest version of Real Tek, and went to several sites that would scan for free but charge to fix. I also went to a bunch of posts with the same problems, but could find nothing to help. I noticed through Spybot that I had a trojan, but fixed it. I looked it up and apparently a trojan can’t do away with one’s sound. Or can it?
