No sympathy for idiots...

Ummm. I think it’s worth mentioning that the guy in the article was an onlooker. He did not run with the bulls.

Of course he still apparently put himself way too near huge charging animals with big pointy things on their heads. But possible he didn’t realize the dangers of being a spectator or how close he might get to HCAWBPTOTH. Maybe the overcrowding mentioned in the article resulted in him being more in harms way than he intended.
I agree with the sentiment that people who do stupid dangerous purposeless things don’t deserve much sympathy when they (surprise!) get hurt. I just don’t know if that’s what this guy did.

Taken from article:

Holy fuck people! This is a fucking crisis! There needs to be laws and regulations put in place holy assfuck johnson! If we don’t do something quick, 5-10 people may be willingly killed in the next 100 years by being in the pathway of a rampaging bull.

This is an empidemic of massive proportion!

True, but in certain areas, some things are not all that unexpected. I lived in tornado country for a number of years, and we always expected tornados during certain months. It was inevitable. You can’t predict where they are going to hit, but you know they are gonna hit somewhere 'round here.

But that’s not to say that those hit deserve no sympathy. I was never homeless due to a tornando, but I sympathized with those that were. I live in earthquake country now. I didn’t lose everything in a quake, but I sympathized with those that did. And one of them slept on my couch for a few days.

I feel bad for those who are hurt while thrill-seeking. I only despise those who expect me to pay for their recovery (or their family’s pain). Only those who ignored the risk until after they were injured and then claimed that someone else should have protected them from those risks.Shit happens, and we all take our chances.
