No thanks, I'll take my chances with the psychopath.

I was just watching one of those Wildest Police Video shows, and it showed a couple of guys robbing a fast food joint, and when the perps tried to rob some of the patrons, one of them - a cop - pulled out his gun and started blazing away.

He wasn’t even looking at what he was doing; he was ducking his head away, sticking his arm out willy-nilly and squeezed out the entire clip in a panic. If the guy he shot hadn’t been a foot from him, he never would have hit him.

That was a trained cop up against a guy who wasn’t even shooting yet. But **kwimby **and the Fighting Internet Fifth would no doubt show the cool of Jason Bourne and immediately assume combat positions while carefully going for a head-shot.

Yeah, I like Call of Duty too.

Dateline July 31, 2012

A local man who police have only identified as “kwimby” was rushed to the hospital with a self inflicted gun shot wound. Police state that the man encountered a “stranger” in his home and, believing it to be a home invasion, opened fire upon the “stranger”. He is currently listed in stable condition.

Curse all you people for putting that Billy Joel song in my head this morning.

It’s a rifle designed by Armalite when they realized what a bad idea it was to sell off the rights to the AR-15 design. Any other questions?

Maybe true. Maybe not. Guess we’ll never know for sure.

I think I made my point. Not really giving much of a shyt whether or not anyone agrees with it. And for the record, I really hope I never find myself in a situation like that. But at least I’ll have the option.

Hot Diddley Damn, just in time for another election…

If your point is that you’re a wannabe Rambo with the sense of a headless chicken … then yeah, you made your point.

I hope you never find yourself in that situation, too. I hope no one finds themselves in that situation. And I really, really hope that no one finds themselves in that situation with you. As bad as Aurora was, you would have made it worse.

[Who brought this guy back? I thought he was gone, having shot his one-trick load.]

He brought himself back. Jonesing for an attention fix, from the looks of it. Very sad.

Of course, as expected, you missed it.

Maybe you need to go back and re-read the whole thread? Looks like you are one of those cretins who reads the last few posts of a long thread and jumps in at the end to display your boundless stupidity in a clueless, retarded rant.

It must be nice to live in a world where things are true because you’ve declared them so.

He also has a sexy girlfriend in Canada.

Ok then. Long as we’re clear about the taking chances with the psychopath thing, which is: A clueless loser approach that amounts to a cowardly submission to becoming a victim of random violence.

We clear on that now?

Sure – every unarmed person shot by a killer at a mass shooting is an unarmed loser and a coward. Gotcha.

Y’all are all ready to just roll over in front of criminals, aren’t you? Not me. I wouldn’t have been hiding behind cover like some damn US trained Marine. No, sir. I would have ignored that smoke the mothefucker threw, grabbed the guy and supplexed him. He thinks he’s “The Joker”? I would have Batmaned his ass and introduce him to a house of pain.

Then I would of had a threesome with those two cute highschool chicks behind the concesion stand.

I don’t get much of the arguments here. If I’ll carry a gun, it will be for my own protection, or deter imminent danger to me. While it’s not likely I’ll have mine while watching a movie, I will certainly wish I had it with me during the Batman shooting. I’ll kill that mother if he was right in front of me, clearly wanting to kill me. And to those I would have saved by killing him “prematurely” you’re welcome.

Do you not understand that it’s not about having compassion for the killer or wanting people to be defenceless. It’s about reality vs. fantasy–that not every dangerous situation is made better with an extra shooter added to the equation.

That’s why you don’t get the arguments here. From a tactical standpoint, if you are sitting in the audience - you’re fucked.

The guy comes in from the back and lays smoke. That hides any movement. Then he starts firing randomly and everybody panics. Even if you were armed, the motherfucker has your pants so around your ankles, tactically, that you really can’t do shit.

Oh yes I pretty much get the smoke, the confusion, the gas mask and body armor(?) I’ll still wish I had a gun with me. If people are crowing that the incident was one instance wherein an armed citizen would not have prevent things, fine. So pray for a more “classical” shooting incident. Sheesh.

No. I’m referring to the thread starter specifically, and any dumb ass that thinks like they do, in general.

Try reading my post in context and with a little comprehension while you’re at it.

Gotch’it?

The shooter was well-prepared. He took precautions against police, armed guards and armed civilians interfering. So if you’re a shooter, it would make you think and just practice some more, maybe simulate a situation like that. But debating how useful an armed interference would have been? Ten pages.

Allright. Say you had a gun. Nay, let’s say more than that. Let’s say you are a trained Navy Seal with an MP5 resting on your lap.

How the hell are you going to take out the shooter when it’s dark, the enemy has laid smoke in a confined space, and you are surrounded by panicking civilians?
