No thanks, I'll take my chances with the psychopath.

O.K. I will try a ‘talk-to-a-four-year-old’-approach here. kwimby
The problem is that everybody else here have all the time been talking about the Aurora shooting and circumstances there.
On the other hand You have been talking the whole time some imaginary shooting where all factors have been changed to Your advantage - not the Aurora case.

Also nobody here has said that run and hide is the best way in every case.
In O.K. Corral it would have been foolish and in Aurora it indeed would have been a mistake if Holmes would have started to go from person to person finishing them up. But he didn’t do that because it didn’t happen - in Aurora, remember - not in some parallel universe that You have been talking about.

But since You so much like to twist the facts, maybe I can throw one ‘if’ in too.
Remember Holmes’ apartment? He could have easily have strapped himself with firebombs. So what if Your wonderful, beautiful center of the mass body shot would have blown the whole place into smithereens and killed everybody? It’s much more likely scenario than Your ‘one armed citizen in a good place with a clear view to Holmes while he is unable to see him’.

And obviously You didn’t get the joke in the post #555 with a link ( unless You really were the guy in that news story ).

So now I quit and I won’t come back again to hit My head to a brick wall.

Idiot.

More “what-if’s.” Not one single fact.

Have a nice day!

Didn’t look at it.

Idiot.

Pot, meet kettle.

Cookware narrator jumps in at the end without reading the thread?

I have read the thread, and seen more speculation and less fact in your own posts than in those arguing with you.

I’m not going to waste my time to go back and re-state the numerous facts presented to support my side of this argument, because the naive people who refuse to recognize them aren’t worth it to me.

Your mind was made up and you will see what you want to see, regardless.

Woosagooboy ?! Woosagooboy ?! Isyou, yes isyou !! Yooragooboy ! rubs belly Oh ! Wannatention ?! Wannatention ?! Wannatention ?! Here boy, here boy ! Go on, git !

Hard to say. Apparently, Tom McLaury did try to run, but he was shooting also. But I’d say running away from armed professional gunfighters is slightly more sensible than standing and facing them, or than maneuvering around tactically to return fire.

Yes, but I rather meant that it would have been foolish to Earps to turn their backs and run. After all if compared to Aurora, Cowboys were in the same role as James Holmes and The Earps in the situation of the movie goes when You look who started the fire.

( I answered because Your comment was sensible, I’m ignoring just kwimby, that guy makes My head hurt ).

Sensible! Sensible! This is the Pit, man! I was stupid and fatuous and missed the point and besides I’m a gun-grabber and socialist. Or whatever. We must keep up the Pit’s incomparable standards!

But… Yeah! If I’d been one of the Cowboy faction at the OK Corral, I’d have just held up my hands and surrendered! They can take my guns from my warm, living fingers! (As did happen later, you can always lay in wait for the other guy, gorse-bush him, and shoot him in the back.)

You’re still giving him too much credit…

Oh my goodness - another troll late to the party with nothing but a sophomoric comment.

Were you going offer some explanation as to how being unarmed against Holmes is better than being armed and able to defend yourself?

Standing by for further inanity from the psychopath-loving cowards who don’t like guns. Or likely more ad-hominem action, since that’s all they got…

You can’t be doing this on accident.

Can we assume you’ve seen my one other post in another thread since joining this message board?
