I saw “Nobel Son” today and thoroughly enjoyed it. I can’t say much about the plot without spoiling it- Alan Rickman is a chemistry professor who wins the Nobel Prize and becomes even more insufferable as a result. His son is kidnapped and the ransom is the $2 million prize money. I will say that no one plays a pompous ass like Alan Rickman, who is one of my very favorite actors. It’s gotten mixed reviews, and I’ve seen more negative ones than positive ones. I liked it, though.
We saw it last night. Can’t say it was particularly good, but it was enjoyable.
I enjoyed it. The plot was complicated enough to keep me interested. The cast was good. Alan Rickman, of course. Mary Steenburgen is always good. Shawn Hatosy plays an excellent psycopath.
I’d give it a thumbs up.
