It has been revealed that the The Walking Dead spin-off will be set in Los Angeles. No word on whether it will actually be shot there, or if they’ll use Vancouver or another place to stand in for it.

I’m excited about this, I like recognizing LA area landmarks in movies and TV. We don’t have a lot of woods here like probably in Georgia, but there’s a lot of dense urban jungle. I guess they can have part of it set in the Angeles National Forest, but I’m looking forward to more urban fighting and looting of buildings. Plus, we finally get to see what’s happening outside of Atlanta! I can’t wait to see the state of the rest of the world

They haven’t confirmed if they will actually film there. But it’s going to be obvious to people who know L.A. if they don’t film there.
BTW, for a split second I thought you wrote ‘urbane jungle’. 
So how will this differ from the current version? Except that the people who inexplicably get caught and eaten by slow-moving zombies will be really, really good looking and tanned?
More city exploration, and I’m betting that we’ll find out people are living on ships off shore. We have deserts and mountains too, that would provide a nice change of scenery. And in Hollywood, maybe they’ll be dressing up people as zombies to infiltrate a rival group

The pilot is currently titled Cobalt.
I was hoping it would be set in Detroit, then in a big reveal at the end we find out it’s actually before the zombie outbreak, because who could tell.
Heh, if they actually include some Missing Persons in the soundtrack, that would be awesome.
