Airing our complaints in a forum made for that purpose hardly constitutes acting like a “raving lunatic.”
It’s not even the errors and the downtime per se that get me; it’s the attitude displayed by TubaDiva and others - promising stuff to keep people interested, then ultimately never delivering, while acting like we’re being unreasonable idiots on top of it all.
I admit, I don’t care about it enough to email anyone about it. I do care enough to think that I’d rather spend $15 on something else. :: shrug ::
Argent Towers, I’m in Seoul now, so the time difference makes it difficult for me to be online when all you Americans are.
Yeah, and I suppose that’s really the thing. Weighing whether it’s worth your time for a measly 15 bucks to go through the process of complaining to the people in charge, etc. I guess I can’t really disagree. But, as a new poster who enjoys this board, I do hope that some folks will find it worthwhile. As always (in this thread at least), just a noob’s two cents…
Well no; it’s not bullshit, and I would think I’m the one who gets to decide what constitutes appropriate value for my money.
The SDMB could be down ten months out of the year and I would feel I have appropriate value for my money. Statement of fact, no bullshit.
I understand you disagree. Based on your proposed analogy, I guess you’d only be satisfied you had your seven dollars’ worth if you had perfect, 100% uptime? Maybe that’s not what you meant. But I don’t share that opinion, and I believe the analogy to be flawed.
