Of direct-to-video/very limited release movies I’ve seen, some I liked:
Trick r Treat
Return to House on Haunted Hill
The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia
Wake Wood
Ghost of Goodnight Lane
The Midnight Game
Haunt
Jessabelle

Hobo with a Shotgun??
I mean, I like a stupid B (or C) movie once in a while. For the MST3K-ness. But it’s still a stupid movie. It’s not good. It’s bad. Really bad.
And not good bad like other Hauer films such as Split Second (which doesn’t qualify for this thread, so forget I mentioned it).
BTW, according to BOM, HwaS made $700k in theaters. Disqualified!
But only 21 screens. I’d count it.
Dungeons & Dragons 3: Book of Vile Darkness was quite decent. According to IMDB it was released straight to DVD, and here in the UK to boot.
That’s on my list to watch when I have the house to myself.
Add Grabbers to the list:
Undead is a fun Australian Zombie/Horror/Comedy. I think some of the production crew went on to make Daybreakers a few years back.
I certainly enjoyed it a lot more than Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. I’d say there’s a lot more than a “touch” of camp, though - I mean, c’mon, it’s got Lincoln teaming up with Stonewall Jackson, a 9-year-old Teddy Roosevelt and an undercover John Wilkes Booth to fight zombies for crying out loud.
Yeah, it was fun.
I don’t think Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter came out in theaters? Again, not spectacular, but fun in a campy way. Very low budget. Jesus teams up with Luchador El Santo to fight vampires and atheists. :dubious:
Does *Dr. Evil’s Singalong Blog *count? It was very enjoyable. So was the Whedon Much Ado About Nothing.
